Nutrition and Malnutrition as a Determinant of Health

Although the issue topics of the DJPH are typically chosen in the previous calendar year, this issue on Nutrition and Malnutrition as a Social Determinant of Health is well timed, with the federal government in a recent shut down and federally funded programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) at risk of being unable to meet the requirements of feeding children, the elderly, those with disabilities, and pregnant individuals.

Our guest editors are Dr. Allison Karpyn of the University of Delaware and Dr. Katelyn Fritzges of ChristianaCare, and we thank them for curating such an important issue.
